Opportunity Exchange brings disconnected public data together and runs it through a common engine. It goes beyond simply reporting what today's statistics show by connecting labour, skills, housing, businesses, trade, costs, and emerging signals into a clearer picture of Saskatchewan's economy.

This pilot demonstrates the public-data architecture and its human interface. It combines published datasets with clearly identified modelled scenarios and is not yet a public-production launch. Where current job links are available, applications stay with the original source.

What you are agreeing to

Read this before agreeing to a record. Every record we publish stores which of these classes you agreed to and the version of this wording you saw.

The four classes

These are separate agreements. Agreeing to one does not agree you to any other, and you can agree to listing alone.

  • Listing

    required

    Your business name, industry, whether you operate from commercial or home premises, and your commercial address if you have one, may appear on a public directory page.

  • Operating detail

    optional

    Your employee size band and whether you are currently hiring may appear on your public record.

  • Aggregate statistics

    optional

    Your answers on expansion plans and which inputs you buy from outside the region may be counted into published industry totals. Your business is never named in these figures.

  • Succession, on request only

    optional

    Your succession situation may be released to someone who asks for it specifically. It never appears on your public record and is never published by default.

What is never published

  • Your home address, if you operate from home. It is never collected.
  • Your name, phone number or email. Contact details stay out of the published record.
  • Anything in a class you did not agree to.
  • Any indication of which questions you declined. A declined answer and a withheld one look identical to a reader, deliberately.

How your record is used

Collected in person by VeilPoint and confirmed by the business named in each record. Confirmed facts are direct observations for the date collected; the set is a partial census of the community and its coverage against the known business population is published with it. It is not a legal-entity register and states nothing about businesses that were not visited.

We publish how much of the community we have actually visited alongside the records, as a share of the businesses Statistics Canada reports for your community. A partial collection is never presented as a complete directory, and businesses we did not visit are shown as absent rather than as zero.

Changing your mind

Tell us and we will withdraw the record or narrow it to the classes you still agree to. The change takes effect at the next publication. Records are republished per collection window, so a withdrawal is not left waiting on an annual cycle.
